Building on our rich history, Phi Mu is proud to announce an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum to educate and inspire our collegiate and alumnae members about the Museum and its mission. The organizations made this announcement in front of nearly 700 Phi Mus at the fifty-fifth biennial Phi Mu National Convention in Las Vegas, Nev., in July 2018.

Through this collaborative partnership, Phi Mu will impact lasting change and help contribute to the Museum’s innovative educational programs with the ultimate goal of building a National Women’s History Museum in Washington, D.C. Phi Mu and the Museum commit to tell women’s stories to educate, inspire, empower, shape the future and provide a complete view of American history. Special events and initiatives that the Fraternity will host with the Museum will be announced throughout the year.

All Phi Mus are invited to become members of the National Women’s History Museum by going to http://www.womenshistory.org/donate, selecting “I am a Phi Mu” and choosing a donation amount. All collegiate and alumnae members are encouraged to support this partnership.

Founded in 1996, the National Women’s History Museum has researched, collected and exhibited women’s contributions to the social, cultural, economic and political life of our nation’s history and engaged people with its interactive website, online and physical exhibits, education programs, live presentations and social media to ensure those stories are told. Through these efforts and its future physical presence, the Museum serves as a guiding light to inspire people regardless of gender, class, race or culture to move into the future with respect, equal confidence, greater partnership and opportunity. The Museum is a place where visitors can expand their understanding of women’s roles and leave with a complete view of American history.
