Phi Mu has been a proud corporate partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) since 1986. In support of Phi Mu’s commitment to raise $10 million dollars for CMN Hospitals, Phi Mu’s Alumnae Engagement team held its inaugural Miracle Market at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, in December of 2018. The second Miracle Market was held at Children’s of Alabama in 2019.

Miracle Market provides pediatric patients and their families with fun activities and opportunities to experience some holiday cheer. Through the generous donations of alumnae members and collegiate chapters, children and families are able to “shop” for gifts to give to one another at no cost. More than $20,000 in in-kind donations of over 2,000 gifts were received for the first two Miracle Markets. The on-site boutiques are staffed by Phi Mu volunteers, with 70 alumnae participating in the first two years. Nearly 500 pediatric patients were able to shop at Miracle Market in 2018 and 2019.

We are looking for ways to continue this new tradition, even during the current pandemic. More information will be shared in the early fall. For more information, reach out to alumnae@phimu.org.
